Welcome to my new website and my new podcast, The Breakthrough Artist!
This has been one of the busier seasons of my life. Mostly just writing, recording and learning a world of new things. Like Logic Pro and lavalier microphones, the ZOOM H6 travel recorder, camera apps, Screenflow for editing videos and let’s not forget professional lighting… oh, and I’m 6 1/2 months pregnant with a baby girl (our first). Oh…oh, and we’re renovating the house, and…and…and…
But, that’s the way it goes! Early bird gets the worm…no rest for the weary…#JustDoIt All that stuff.
So, why a podcast, you ask? Honestly, because a few friends of mine have podcasts that I enjoy, and they opened my mind up to the possibility of taking an idea I’ve had for years and modernizing it. Book? Naaaah….Podcast, WHY NOT?! I love people. I love their stories. I love to learn and grow. I like it when the little guy wins. I love seeing people come into their own. I love seeing someone’s potential fulfilled. I believe those moments happen somewhat rarely in our lives, and the rest of the stuff is like taking out the trash, paying our bills and getting up earlier than we want to. So I like to focus on those moments of goodness and try to understand what makes them happen. Is it will-power and hard work, right place – right time, who ya know…fate? I dunno. But I’d like to. So I’m going to be asking questions of cool people, who’ve done cool things, and we will get to the bottom of this, I promise!
